Baddie Recordings is thrilled to play a role in activating Raleigh-Durham for J. Cole’s first annual Dreamville Festival.
🌳 April 6th, 2019 @ Dix Park in Raleigh, NC 🌳
About the Location
🌻2105 Umstead Dr, Raleigh🌻
Dreamville Fest takes place in Raleigh’s largest city park. Dorothea Dix Park is a sprawling 308-acre site that features many large fields, winding drives, and a number of buildings from the old mental hospital. Creepy? No, it’s actually quite lovely—there was even an entire field of sunflowers last year—it’s just a reminder that until fairly recently the grounds where part of a state institution. Follow the music and head west towards the big field and you’re sure to find it. Or just follow the sea of people. Speaking of which…
If last year’s projections hold true for 2019, Dreamville Fest could quite easily be the largest music festival Raleigh has ever hosted. Who’s going? “Me and you, your momma, and your cousin too...” What we’re trying to say is that everybody is going. People will be flooding in from all over the state, country, and globe. As Raleighites, we are pretty psyched about such a grand celebration, but make sure you plan to beat the traffic. Our prediction is that the local roads near the park simply won’t withstand the surge at certain peak times. Our suggestion is to head there with plenty of time to spare. And for those of you who are able-bodied, you may even want to just walk from downtown (≈ 2 miles).
⚠️DISCLAIMER TO ASPIRING PERFORMERS⚠️
Due to massive inquires about lineup selection, we must be clear; this is J. Cole’s festival, and from everything we have been told he handpicks the lineup himself. Baddie Recordings is happy to be on the team helping to promote this great event in Raleigh, but we have nothing to do with lineup selection, and we don’t know how you can get ahold of Cole either. We are not associated with Dreamville Records. We wish we could help, but thank you for sharing your music anyway. Some of it was damn good.
